Cutting Future Fence Panels and Gates

Edited

To achieve the best results when cutting Future Fence panels and gates, we recommend using an electric saw. For the cleanest cut, a circular saw equipped with an aluminium blade is ideal. Always use appropriate PPE including safety goggles. Follow these steps for a smooth finish:

  1. Prepare Your Work Area: Secure the panel or gate on a stable protected surface to prevent movement during cutting, with the area to be cut overhanging the bench.

  2. Tape Up the Cutting Area: Before you begin cutting, tape both sides of the area to be cut. This helps to minimise the risk of aluminium shavings becoming lodged under the saw, which can cause scratches.

  3. Make the Cut: With the panel or gate securely in place, guide the saw along the marked cutting line. Keep a steady hand and move the saw slowly to ensure a precise cut.

  4. Clean Up: After cutting, carefully remove the tape and blow away any aluminium shavings. Check the cut edges for any burrs and smooth them with a file if necessary.
